On Friday, August 6 and Saturday, August 7, The Square invites the public to join us for two evenings of short films by young independent filmmakers.
The Best of the 35th Northwest Film & Video Festival includes twelve films plucked from Northwest Film & Video Festival, a showcase for work by innovative emerging filmmakers held annually in Portland Oregon.
Please note that the program is the same for both evenings. Admission is $5 for museum members; $6 for non-members. Seating is limited, so get your tickets today! This event is sponsored by Bison Ford, MT Cre8tive and American Scorpion Kung Fu.
The Best of the Northwest Film & Video Festival Tour is a collection of films selected by the Northwest Film Center from their annual film festival. The films are packaged together and sent to colleges, museums, theaters, and community centers. The tour allows communities that might otherwise have no access to independent film and video to experience a film festival in their own city, and generates income for the artists represented. The films selected for this year’s tour cannot properly express the breadth of talent in our region, but we hope that it will whet your appetite and encourage you to seek out and appreciate visionary work wherever you can find it.
** The films are unrated; please be advised that some material may not be appropriate for children.
