Enjoy the culture, art, history, music, food, wine, micro brews and spirits.  Take the opportunity to network with the local artists, musician, photographers and some of the friendliest people in Great Falls, Montana.

First Friday Art Walk is "POTPOURRI", a grand blend of fine arts and crafts selected for summer gift giving. Pottery and paintings for the bride and groom, shower gifts of hand-painted garments or one-of-a kind scrapbooks and photos of Montana scenery for the traveler. Join us for refreshments during the art walk. The show will run through mid July and new work will be added on a regular basis.

The fourteen (14) artist-owners of Gallery 16 have been working in their individual studios prepare one-of-a-kind gifts for holiday giving. Nancy Armstrong will have watercolors and pottery; Pam Cornelius, wheel thrown and slab built pottery; Kay Feist, Judy Ericksen and Linda Walters have thrown pots in all shapes and sizes. Maude Knudsen and Cathy Marquard have created a variety of woven, felted and knitted items. Joyce Ranum; Carol Spurgeon and Judy Gurnsey have paintings and note cards. Judy Gurnsey will also have painted ornaments and holiday decorations. Shirley Rothwell's slab items will include her award winning angels. Pat Ericksen will again have paintings, art pins and cards. Marcia Hocevar will feature hand-painted garments, paintings and mask.

GREAT FALLS, MONTANA

We would like to welcome all the Western Art Enthusiasts to Great Falls, Montana.  While in Great Falls, please take some time visiting the local art Galleries, and Museums.  Shop TAX FREE in some of the most original stores in Montana, and fill your bellies in one of our Great Falls Locally owned and operated restaurants.  If you have a big box palette and enjoy shopping in the big box stores, Great Falls has those too.

Be sure to check out the Great Falls Tribune's HOT TICKET to find out detailed information about the First Friday Art Walk Galleries, musicians, and artists.

More information can be found in the River's Edge Journal.

On the First Friday of every month, Great Falls Downtown will be filled with people attending the First Friday Art Walk.  The Great Falls First Friday Art Walk begins at 6:00 p.m.  Enjoy walking to the various art galleries.  On display will be a variety of artwork, photo's, and/or sculptures created by local Great Falls artists

Be sure to stop by and visit The Breaks, Bert & Ernie's, and the Club Cigar, for an appetizer, glass of wine, beer and/or a micro brew.  Bert & Ernie's, The Breaks, and Club Cigar will be providing live music for your listening pleasure.  NO COVER CHARGE.

Bert & Ernie's and The Breaks will have music live on stage from 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. Club Cigar will have music after 9:00 p.m.

The participating Galleries alternate from month to month, so be sure to stop by the Gallery Sixteen, Four West Gallery, and A. Hooker's Gallery, The Lodestone, The History Museum, Studio 706, and of course the Urban Art Project.

A great addition to the First Friday Art Walk is the The History Museum, and Paris Gibson Square.  Take a walk downtown stop at the various galleries, museums, and restaurants through out the evening.  First Friday Art Walk allows Art enthusiast, food critics and music lovers the opportunity to visit some of the art galleries, museums and restaurants they my not normally get a chance to visit.

We are looking for more sponsors, artists, galleries, musicians and downtown businesses that would be willing to become part of this event. 

Help Promote Great Falls, Promote your business, support the Historic Great Falls Downtown District and have a fun time doing it.

Previous First Friday Art Walk
A. Hooker's Gallery has featured Bruce Vasser, and Alana Hastings.  Alana Hastings paints a variety of subject mater in watercolor, acrylics, and oils.  Live music has been performed by Curtis Thompson and by Cory Fay.  Light snacks have also been provided.

Four West Art League has featured Andy McKeever.  Patricia Bushly, Gary Davison, Gail Dust, Kailie Evans, Janet Sedlacek, and S. Carlyle Smith.  They have also featured the The Art of Romance and various artists work, and has served up hot chocolate and hors d'oeuvres.

Gallery 16 will kick off  the Gallery's Annual Western Art Month Celebration. View the many talents of Yellow Bird, Diane Hausmann, Monte Dolack, Linda Short, Cindy Eve, Don Hanson, Christine McKay, and Linda Walters.

Lodestone Gallery will be having artist demonstrations by Thomas English.  View the works of Todd Lehman, Tom Gilleon, Thomas English, Laurie Stevens, and Charles Fulcher.

Paris Gibson Square Museum of Art will be hosting a First Friday Opening Reception.

Studio 706 Art Gallery has featured Marlene Johnston-Haines and Dawn Caldwell.  Crafted Jewelry, paintings, and wool spinning demonstrations, and more.  they have also offered classes and have showcased the work of Barbara Chigbrow.

The History Museum will be featuring the work of Paul Graham.  Graham has works with oils, clay, photography, plates, antlers, sculptures, chandeliers, stained glass and fused glass pieces.
